Officials have been investigating reports of dead fish at Swanpool Lake in Falmouth and believe it may have been caused by pollution.A number of fish were discovered on Monday morning and the matter was reported to the Environment Agency, which sent a team to the site.Although it could not find a cause, the agency believes one of the tributary streams that feed into the pool in Falmouth had been polluted in some way a few days before.Esther Lochrie, from Swanpool Beach Ltd, which leases the top...

Five children aged between 7 and 11 were among a group rescued after they were cut off by the tide in Cornwall. The children were with three adults and were caught in a small cove near to Porthcothan, on the north coast by Padstow.
