A 33-year-old man from Hayle has appeared in court charged with robbery and taking a motor vehicle without owner's consent.
Alan Rouffignac has been remanded in police custody after appearing before magistrates in Truro. Rouffignac entered no pleas and will next appear at Truro Crown Court next month.
Rouffignac appeared at Truro Magistrates' Court.

One of Cornwall's most prolific shoplifters has been jailed for pinching more than £1,200 worth of goods to feed her heroin addiction.
Last month Cornwall Live reported how 37-year-old Una Devlin, most recently of Observer Close in Truro, had been
given one last chance to tackle her demons.

Hayle's South Quay designs unveiled
The final piece of the South Quay regeneration jigsaw goes on display at the Passmore Edwards Institute in Hayle next week.
Final designs for the wharf houses, apartments and the quayside restaurants, which were approved in principle in 2012, will be put on display.
New owners Hayle Quays Ltd acquired South Quay in February this year, and immediately entered into consultation and workshops with town councillors and heritage representatives.

Sluicing in Hayle is once again under way following the completion of an enforced ecological winter break.
Hayle Harbourmaster Peter Haddock on Monday recommenced the process, which was discontinued in Hayle in the 1970s and helps reduce the build-up of sand and keep the channels open, enabling fishermen and other boat users to make use of safer navigation passages.
