Replace street rope lights with energy efficient LED lights and enhance a circular walk around the village

We are a community group which is solely funded by donations. The project started almost 30 years ago when a small group of villagers put up a few Christmas lights. It has since grown and now covers the whole village of Angarrack, Cornwall, with most villagers joining in. We need to raise money each year to cover the costs of maintenance, repairs, insurance and electricity. These are met by donations from the many visitors who come each year to see the displays but we can not afford to buy large items, such as rope strings to light a circular walk around the village. We need to buy about 1000m of rope light to complete the walk. We would like to replace the old rope strings with energy efficient LED lights.

For the past 30 years + Angarrack Village, near Hayle in Cornwall, has been putting up Christmas lights which have attracted a large number of visitors to the village each year. The displays are designed and made in the village.
The rope lights, which are strung along the street, were purchased over 10 years ago and some of the bulbs/lanterns have broken. Unfortunately we are unable to buy replacement bulbs/lanterns as they are no longer manufactured.
While looking for replacements we have found that technology has improved and there are now more energy efficient lights available. We want to extend the area and complete the circular walk around the village. However the lights are expensive and the money we raise through donations will only cover repairs and expenses it does not allow us to make such a big purchase. We therefore want to buy 1000m of LED rope lights which can extend the area lit.
