The Christmas Lights are going up now and we’re always in need of volunteers to help in lots of ways, eg with putting lights up or with Switch On night or with collections. All donations gratefully accepted too for funds, bottle stall, raffle prizes etc! The recent jumble sale raised over £240 which was excellent. Thanks to everyone who came and/or donated. Switch On night will see Santa’s arrival and he will be pleased to see the little ones in the children’s Christmas grotto. There will be fireworks and a band on the night too. There is also a raffle—tickets included with this newsletter - please do try to sell as many as you can, it all helps a lot. More tickets can be obtained from Russell. Prizes include a lovely Christmas hamper! New this year is a prize for the best lit private house, to be judged on Switch On night. The major new feature this year is the replacement of over a thousand old style bulbs with LEDs in a move to be greener—all your favourite lights will be up as well of course.
