Mobile Library


The mobile library provides a library service to rural areas in Cornwall where there is no static library or micro library.

Customers can now board the mobile library and browse the library stock. They can also continue to order books online by browsing the online library catalogue.

Order a book via the online catalogueYou will be notified once books are ready for collection. Please note, your reserved items will then be ready for collection at your next regular mobile library stop.

The library is open: 

  • Tuesdays from 2pm to 4pm
  • Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon

Please note: 

  • The times of stops are subject to change
  • You can use your library card to borrow items from any mobile or branch library.
  • You can return items to any mobile or branch library by using the self-service kiosk or handing to the mobile library assistant.

Where's my nearest library?

You can view an alphabetical list of your local library to see if there is a branch library or micro library near you. Or enter your postcode on the my area page.

Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is unable to use the library.  They may have a disability, long-term illness or caring responsibilities which make it difficult for them to get out. Home Library Service volunteers will bring books and other materials to your home. This is if you are not able to get into a library yourself because of restricted mobility.
