Changes to Griggs Quay, Lelant

Following wide scale monitoring of traffic in Lelant it has been determined that it would be beneficial to do some minor widening on the approach to the junction of Nut Lane and the A30 to provide two lanes between the A30 and the entrance to the garden centre. A ‘keep clear’ marking will also be provided at the garden centre entrance.

Subject to confirmation that the proposal can be carried out without impacting any underground utilities, the works, which began this week, will be completed before the start of the summer holidays. Traffic lights will be required whilst the work is undertaken but these will only be in place during the night to ensure that disruption is minimised. Traffic monitoring will continue throughout the summer and the data collected will be reviewed in September.
