HAYLE PENWITH U3A:

Hayle U3A has the following programme this week.  Today, Thursday January 26, at 10am there is games then at 2pm the U3A committee meeting takes place,  On Tuesday January 31 at 10am there is Art then at 1.30pm the Film club meets. All sessions except Writing are held in the Philip Smith annexe to the Hayle Day Care Centre.  The Writing is held in Hayle Library.

HAYLE FILM CLUB:

Julieta. Thursday January 26 at 7.30pm

From legendary Spanish director Pedro Almodvar, a tale of memory, love, and guilt. A chance encounter leads middle-aged Julieta to revisit her past and her long-estranged daughter. 99 mins, rated 15, in Spanish with subtitles.

As ever, at the Passmore Edwards Institute, house lights down at 7.30pm. Tickets £5/£4 for members, reserve on 01736 752319.

AGM:

Hayle Twinning Association will be holding their AGM on Monday February 13 at 7.15pm in room 8 at Hayle Community Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend though only paid up members will be able to take part in any voting.

HARD HAT TOURS AT HARVEY'S FOUNDRY:

On February 28 from 11am and 1pm Harvey's Foundry Trust will be opening its construction site again to allow 20 members of the public a free exclusive tour of their Phase 3 redevelopment along Foundry Lane.  Anyone interested in joining the tour please contact the Trust via email on daisy@harveysfoundrytrust.org.uk. First come first served.

HAYLE IN BLOOM:

Hayle in Bloom will be holding an auction on March 17 at the Cornish Arms.  Items large or small, in good order, are sought for inclusion.  If you have items to donate, pick up will be arranged by phoning Lyn Reffold on 752 166, or drop in to 5 Commercial Road, Hayle.  Funds raised will be used for plants and other garden necessities.

ST. ELWYN'S CHURCH:

On Sunday January 29, there will be a Team Service at Gwinear at 11am followed by a shared lunch. Please bring a plate of food. On Wednesday February 1, Said Eucharist will be celebrated by the Reverend Sharon Clifton at 10am. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after each service.

ST.JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, HAYLE:

St Joseph's Church in Hayle is part of the Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Family. Father Philip said the Sunday Mass on Saturday at 6.30pm - Unity Week.

New Diocesan Certificate: Bishop Mark has endorsed a study course to deepen understanding of the faith. Application forms are available via parish priest for six study days in Buckfast Abbey starting on February 25. All applications forms to be received by February 10.
