OPENING OF NEW GROUND

THE LORD-LIEUTENANT OF THE COUNTY OF CORNWALL (Col. E. H. W. Bolitho, C.B., D.S.0.) will open the Memorial Park, Angarrack Road, Hayle as the new ground and HEADQUARTERS of this Club, at 2-45 p.m.


At 3-15 p.m.,
Eng.-Com. S. F. COOPPER, R.N., will kick-off.

On Monday evening a smoking concert was held at the Hotel, Angarrack. It being feast a good many visitors attended, and loyal toasts were given

Feast Day thanksgiving for completion of payment of debt incurred for two new vestries

ANGARRACK A thanksgiving service was held in the Wesleyan Church, Phillack, on Feast-day, Nov. 21, to commemorate the completion of the payment of the debt incurred for the two new vestries lately added to the school premises. A sum over £285 has been raised, and the connexional authorities, ever will to aid struggling societies, generously gave the last £20, making over £305 in all. Mr. C. Harris, the trust secretary, arranged the concert, and singers and musicians readily responded. The Rev E. A. Stead, supt, minister, suitably expressed in his speech the good work done. The church was filled, seats down the aisle being over ninety stayed to supper, most of the provisions for which had been generously given.  read more »
