"It was noted that Councillor Capper had attended the Cornwall Council Awards Ceremony at County Hall on 1 May 2019. He had been recognised for his long service to the town and in particular for serving on the town council for 40 years. He circulated the framed certificate and the tie pin, made of tin from South Crofty Mine, which he had been presented with. Free Parking for Christmas
Shopping on Saturdays

Once again, it will be free to park in
Cornwall Council car parks on
Saturdays in the lead up to
Christmas. From Saturday 30
November 2019 to 21 December
2019 it will be free to park in the
Commercial Road and Foundry
Square car parks. Cornwall Council
has generously committed to one
free Saturday and Hayle Town
Council has agreed to provide a
further three. This year the town
council has agreed to cover the
costs of hiring the Cornwall Council
car parks to encourage people into
Hayle and to support the local

A project to create 30 kilometres of new multi-purpose trails across Cornwall has taken a step forward.

Copperhouse Pool is busy with birds!
Up to 3 Osprey were seen on the
Estuary during October, but none
have been observed recently. There
have been 4 Pink Footed Geese on
Copperhouse and 6 Pale bellied
Brent Geese on the estuary. A recent
count of the Canada Geese finished
up with 320. Waders have been
appearing with Curlew, Sandpiper,
Spotted Redshank, Little Stint, Grey
Plovers, Bar & Black Tailed Godwits.
