Six shops in Truro city centre have closed within a month
Six shops have closed or are shutting down in Truro city centre within a few weeks of each other. A teddy bear shop, a bakery, a shoe shop, a kitchen shop and two clothes shops have either already closed down or put up signs warning customers that enough is enough.

The death of an elderly man whose body was found at the bottom of a set of steps in Padstow is not being treated as suspicious.
Forensic and police officers were called just after 8.50am on Wednesday morning (June 21) following the discovery at the bottom of some steps on New Street, leading towards a local car park.

A teenager was sexually assaulted in Newquay after being left unconscious following a punch to the head.
The woman, 19, was on a night out in the town on Saturday, June 3 when the incident happened, police said today.

A mum has said she hoped the jailing of a teenage driver for a hit-and-run that seriously injured her son as he walked home on the pavement from an evening out with friends would serve as a lesson to others.

A photographer has spoken of how he crept through the grass to get close enough to film this incredible footage of elusive adders in the wild.
Lee Collings, from Leeds, came to visit Cornwall three years and saw the snakes for the first time on the Lizard peninsula. A fisherman has been airlifted to hospital in a dramatic rescue after his boat caught fire off the coast of Land's End.
