Police say the driver of a car that careered off a road and crashed into 22 others remains in a serious condition in hospital. The passenger in the car, a woman in her 40s, died after the vehicle left the carriageway and crashed onto a garage forecourt in a quiet hamlet near St Austell on Sunday evening. A teenager water sports instructor who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month has stated her determination to turn her illness into something positive by shaving her head in a bid to raise vital funds for charity. Lydia Knight, 19, from Gweek near Helston, was recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a type of blood cancer, and started her first chemotherapy session on June 23.
