A man snatched 75 gammon, beef and lamb steaks worth £400 from supermarkets to feed his heroin habit. A court was told the 41-year-old had no intention of eating the various steaks, including sirloin, rump and rib-eye. Daniel Mark Peter Hammond, of Alexandra Road, Penzance, pleaded guilty to five offences of theft before magistrates in Truro.
