A car overturned after crashing in Hayle late last night.

Police officers, paramedics and firefighters were called to Loggans Moor roundabout following the single-vehicle collision at about 10.45pm.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said a Citroen car is believed to have collided with the roundabout on the A30 near to McDonald's.

They added that there were no reports of serious injuries and that no other vehicles were believed to have been involved.

The driver, who is in his 20s, was initially arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol following a positive breath test at the roadside.

The force spokesperson added that a second test was carried out at a police station and the results were negative.
