Swimmer's life saved by wardens at Hayle Beach

Published by Helen Down at 3:40pm 2nd June 2020.
The life of someone in trouble at the rivermouth at Hayle beach has been saved.
SLSC Beach Wardens spotted them on Sunday in strong crosswinds.
They were quickly brought ashore on Porth Kidney and attended to by paramedics.
Wardens on Hayle beach are reminding everyone there are currently NO lifeguards patrolling there.
"You may have heard our beach wardens warning not to swim in the river over the past week, this is why.
"Remember, there are NO LIFEGUARDS on Hayle Beach at present, our Beach Wardens are there to advise and observe only.
"If you get into difficulty, either a full lifeboat crew or helicopter crew are your primary rescue options, probably not how you want your day at the beach to end.
"The river is dangerous, stay out, stay within your ability, don't go alone."
